Company & Project News (January 2015)

 

We are delighted to announce that we have now achieved a UKAS accredited Integrated Management System. We now hold standards for Quality (ISO 9001:2008), Environmental Management (ISO 14001:2004) and Occupational Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001:2007).

 

               

 

During January we commenced a 200K refurbishment at Shotley Bridge Hospital for the NHS, a 90K Refurbishment project at Holy Trinity Rosehill Primary School in Stockton for the Durham Diocese

In December four of our site managers received awards from NCSG for their contribution & standards achieved on site for Health & Safety.

 

Project News (December 2014)

 

During December we commenced works on a 220K project to extend and alter Derek Slack Motor's in Middlesbrough, a 80K alteration project at St Patrick's RC Primary School in Langley Moor and a 125K refurbihment project in Merz Court for Newcastle University.

 

Project News (November 2014)

 

In November we commence works on several phases of the refurbishment of 1-4 Claremont Terrace in Newcastle for Newcastle University and a 170K refurbishment scheme at Sacred Heart Primary School in Burnhope. We also completed and handed over the refurbishment of part of the Agricultural Building for Newcastle University.

Project News (October 2014)

 

As scheduled in October we completed the 750K works at St Bede's RC Primary School in Darlington and the 420K works at St Oswald CofE Primary School in Durham.

 

In October we completed the structural works to the historic and listed Palace Green Library roof.

 

We also completed the 120K remodelling works at St John Boste RC Primary School in Washington.

 

In October we commence works on an internal refurbishment at the Barras Building for Newcastle University, however due to major structural issues the project has now grown and the value will be around 500K and involves removing and replacing the failed concrete roof deck.

 

Project News (September 2014)

 

In September we complete and handed over the History Department at 43-46 North Bailey back to Durham University in tiime and on schedule in time for their new academic year. The original 440K turnkey project had significantly grown in size as structural problems and other works were introduced by the university. We managed to incorporated the additional 250K of extra works into the original schedule to ensure that the building was handed over on time.

 

We also completed the works at Tekmar, but are in negotiations with them to carry out further works.

 

In September we commenced works on the 2nd phase at the historic Armstrong Building for Newcastle University, a 140K refurbishment of the sport centre at Hillsview Academy in Middlesbrough and a refurbihment project at Shildon Children's Centre for Durham County Council.

 

Project News (August 2014)

 

In August and on schedule we handed over the first phases on St Bede's Rc Primary School in Darlington and St Oswald's CofE Primary School in Durham to enable teaching to commence in September.

 

During August we commence:

  • A second phase refurbishment of the Agricultural Building for Newcastle University (400K)

  • A 120K alteration project at St John Boste RC Primary School in Washington.

  • 150K External Refurbishment of the Barras Building in Newcastle for Newcastle University.

Project News (July 2014)

 

Works are progressing well and on schedule at St Oswald's CofE Primary School in Durham. The 400K project is due to be complete in October, but many areas need to be complete and ready for teaching in September.

In July we commenced works on a variety of projects:

  • A 150 project to carry out structural repairs to the Palace Green Library roof. The listed building is in the heart of the World Heritage Site and within the shadow of the Cathedral.

  • A major refurbishment in the Agricultural Building for Newcastle University.

  • A 130K scheme to refurbish some teaking rooms at Claremont Towers for Newcastle University.

  • A 90K refurbishment project in the historic King George Building for Newcastle University.

 

Project News (June 2014)

 

In June we completed a 30K improvements project at Darlington Fire Station for County Durham & Darllington Fire & Rescue Service.

 

We also commenced works on a 300K refurbishment project in Merz Court for Newcastle University, after completing an earlier 70K phase in the same building.

 

Project News (May 2014)

 

In May April we commenced works on a major project at St Bede's Rc Primary school in Darlington. The 750K projecty involved several extensions, remodelling and refurbishment of the existing school to increase it's capacity. The 3 phased project is due for overall completion in October, but many of the sections need to be complete by the end of August in time for the children to return to school.

 

In May we also commenced work on a 600K scheme at Tekmar Energy in Newton Aycliffe. The works involed the refurbihment of the former Tetley's factory unit and welfare facilities to allow the company to relocate some of it's productionto a second site.

 

 

Project News (April 2014)

 

During April we commenced a 40K refurbishment scheme at Beech Grove primary School in Middlesbrough for Midllesbrough Council, a 25K refurbishment of a lab at Dove Marine in Cullercoats for Newcastle University & a 70K refurbishment at the Dental School for Newcastle University.

 

In April we completed the 400K Refurbishment & Classroom Extensions at St Mary's Magdalen RC Primary School in Sunderland.

 

Company & Project News (March 2014)

 

In March we handed over the keys to the enable the family to move into their newly adapted home in York following 9 months of work and 550K of alterations and extensions.

 

 

We commenced works on and expension project, which included major alterations, refurbishment and extensions at St Oswalds CofE Primary School in Durham. The +400K project is due for completion in September ready for the start of the new school year.

 

We also start work at Beech Grove Primary School in Middlesbrough for Middlebrough Council, a further phase in the refurbishment of Merz Court and another scheme in the Bedson Building for Newcastle University.

 

We also sucessfully regained SafeContractor accrediation (SSIP).

 

 

Company & Project News (February 2014)

 

In Februay we commenced works on a 440K refurbrishment & alterations project on 43-46 North Bailey in Durham (History Department) for Durham University. The turnkey project is due for completion in September readt for the new academic year.

 

In February we completed the 120K works at Richmond Castle in North Yorkshire for English Heritage.

 

We also completed the 460K works to the Chemistry Labs for Durham University.

 

We were also sucessful in regaining our CHAS accreditation (SSIP)

 

 

Project News (January 2014)

 

In January we commenced works on a couple of alteration projects at St Oswald's RC Primary School & St Peter's & St Paul's RC Primary School. Both projects valued at 80 are in South Shields.

 

We completed a 80K alterations project at Newton Aycliffe Fire Station for County Durham & Darllington Fire & Rescue Service.
